I had the chorus vocal chops and beat for a couple of years before Another Light was actually realised. I was put in contact with writer/producer Nico Rebscher, so we met up for a session in a studio in London. I hadn't worked with too many producers, but within minutes we had connected and started working on an arrangement around my initial ideas. I ended up travelling out to Berlin to work with him further, layering up percussion with random items around the room and building up ambience from recordings of windy, cold Berlin. I'd flesh out the lyrics on flights back to Bristol, record them at home and then head back out to work with Nico again. Good memories!
